Q: Who qualifies for the Individual Officer Program?
A: Our Individual Officer Program is available to active and retired law enforcement officers, firefighters, first responders, and military personnel, as well as actively licensed security guards. All that is required is an Identification Card/Credentials issued by your agency.

Q: What is the process for purchasing a firearm through SSD International?
A: If you are interested in any of the products on our website, simply add them to your cart. It will prompt you to upload a picture of your credentials. Through the “Check Out” process, you will be asked basic information (i.e. name, telephone number, email, and address). This picture needs to include a copy of your Driver’s License, concealed weapons permit (if you have one), as well as your employment ID to verify your qualification in the program. At that point, we will contact you for your payment information, which is usually taken over the phone for security purposes. Your transaction will then be processed and the items you purchased will be sent to the FFL of your choosing.

Q: Are there any additional fees when purchasing a firearm through the Individual Officer Program?
A: If you reside in the state of Florida, a sales tax of 6.5% will be added to the total. If you get it sent to one of our 9 Shoot Straight locations in Florida, there is no shipping cost. Shoot Straight will charge you $5.00 at the time of pickup for the FDLE background check that is legally required with every firearm purchase.
If your items are being sent to a location other than a Shoot Straight, the shipping cost depends on the location of the delivery. There may be an additional transfer fee and background check charge assessed by the end dealer. Contact your local dealer to find out what they will charge for a firearm transfer.

Q: What if my department/agency address is on my Driver’s License?
A: When you come to pick up the firearm, the store will need something government or state-issued with your current residential address. This includes items such as vehicle registration, voter’s registration, or hunting/fishing licenses. If you own your house, a copy of your county property taxes will also suffice. While this is not necessary at the time of purchase through SSD, it will be needed when you pick up the firearm.

Q: Will your Shoot Straight stores honor the firearm prices you have on your SSD website?
A: When purchasing a firearm from a manufacturer that offers a discount through our Individual Officer Program, the prices advertised are only available online through SSD International.

Q: I’m interested in a firearm or product that isn’t on your site. Do you have it?
A: We may! If there is something you are interested in that you cannot find on our website, email us or give us a call to see if it is something we have in stock. We can always check our commercial warehouse for items not listed on the site. It never hurts to ask.
